Frequently Asked Questions

Are alcoholic beverages allowed on board?
Captain Tim allows beer on board, but for passenger safety will not tolerate drunkenness. Celebrate after the charter.
What is the best way to transport my catch home?
Filleted fish will keep fresh for up to a week if packed in layers of crushed ice as long as all liquids are drained daily. Do not let fresh fish lie in their juices! Fillets can also be packaged and frozen for transport by Captain Tim. Another option is to have your fish smoked in Door County before you travel home. Smoked fish is cooked and will spoil less quickly than fresh fish. If you have no choice but to ship fish home contact Flying Fish in Ephraim (920-421-2255). Flying Fish will ship frozen fish in dry ice to your home address.
Is tipping of the crew expected?
Crew members work hard for clients and are paid low hourly wages to encourage service that warrants gratuities. It is no different than getting good service in a restaurant. Tip accordingly.
Are the fish safe to eat?
Fish are nutritious and good to eat including those harvested from the Great Lakes. Check out this great website link (Sea Grant) for more information.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, Visa or MasterCard accepted.
