I was also impressed with the interaction your firstmate/deckhand, Willie, had with my son, Jason (age 11). Jason has caught many bass and bluegill, but landing a 15-pound salmon is a whole different ballgame. Willie did a great job of putting Jason at ease and showing him what to do. We had been looking forward to this trip for a long time, and, obviously, we were hoping to have a great time and catch some big salmon. Also, as a father I was hoping for a family-type atmosphere on the boat. Our experience on the Reel Addiction surpassed our expectations. I never imagined that we would limit out in just a few short hours with a 22-pound, 15-pound, etc. Jason and I relive that morning on the water every time we take a bite of our fish. "I fish...some, including my long suffering wife, say I fish alot. So this June, while planning a family reunion in Door County, it was no surprise to anyone that I suggested a fishing trip. Fortunately, we took the advice of some area locals and contacted your company, Reel Addiction, and booked a salmon excursion. With a group that ranged in age from pre-teen to 70 something, and with skill levels ranging from novice to experienced liar, we descended on you and your excellent deck hand, Joe. Through every step of the experience I could tell that this was not going to be an "ordinary" guided fishing trip. Your experience as a retired educator dovetailed wonderfully with our family which happens to include both current and past educators, and your comprehensive knowledge of the Lake Michigan fisheries was just the thing to impress a fishing fool like me. What could I possibly say was the best thing about our trip with you???...the fabulous boat, the fine fishing gear,the great camaraderie...or all of the above? I must not leave out the fact that not only was the fishing experience great...the fish catching was awesome!. Everyone on our trip scored wonderful, hard fighting Lake Michigan Kings or Steelies...you put us over them and had the right lures for the bite. I have fished with guides all over the world, and without reservation I would rate your charter as among the finest...anywhere. My only request now is...don't catch them all, because we'll be back!"
